ADM's Danish unit, located in Hundested, is a specialist in the development and production of dietary supplements and pharmaceutical products with probiotics.

For ADM Denmark A/S, Landau Headhunting is now searching for a passionate HSE Manager. The ADM group acquired the Danish location only two years ago, so this is a fairly young organization offering a unique opportunity to make a significant difference together with a strong and ambitious management team and around 100 professional and top motivated colleagues at all levels of the organization.
 

Key objectives for the role

With direct report to the Plant Manager and a dotted line to the Area H&S Manager, H&W EMEA, you will be expected to take ownership of the site safety strategy including safety tools and implementation of ADM safety methodology, in close cooperation with your site leadership colleagues. You will be a driver for safety culture through process facilitation, trainings, visible leadership and formalized audits with department leaders.

Being the project manager for all safety related projects, ranging from implementation of new tools to larger methodologies like “LOTO”, you will support plant leadership in preventing all work-related injuries and illnesses as well as any environmental harm.

We are looking for an HSE Manager, who can support, develop and coach leaders and staff to drive safety behavior and safety culture in all aspects. 
 

Your main responsibilities

In this role, there is no formal personnel management responsibility, but strategic and operational HSE is all yours. The key responsibilities of the role will be to:

• Generate and ensure KPI visibility and performance for safety initiatives
• Define and implement safety strategy in cooperation with site leadership
• Analyze, review, and report location trends
• Conduct inspections and audits
• Plan and conduct employee safety trainings
• Facilitate leadership safety alignment
• Manage ADM safety reporting (IT system SpheraCloud)
• Build structure for safety work (e.g. whiteboard meetings)
• Stay up-to date with changes in legislation
• Facilitate accident investigations.

Your professional and personal qualifications

Being the ideal candidate for this role, we presume that you possess the following professional and personal qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the HSE area in an industrial environment such as food processing, pharma or similar
• A fair understanding of manufacturing processes
• Management experience from a production environment
• International experience and good English skills
• Ability to think strategically and to plan effectively, set priorities and put ideas into practice
• Natural skills when it comes to making strong action plans, communicating processes and implementing systems.

Your educational background is not our primary focus. It is your professional experience that counts. However, some kind of technical background would be an advantage.
