Cobham Aerospace Communications is recruiting an Embedded Software Engineer to join its aero software engineering team in our new offices near Lyngby Station.

You will be part of an agile team consisting of 30 colleagues as a central part of Cobham Aerospace Communications’ global software team.

Your main tasks will be software design, verification of software requirements, software implementation, software validation as well as verification for functional and non-functional requirements.

The job

Working as Embedded Software Engineer means:

• Developing satcom systems for aircrafts
• Implementing interfaces to aircraft equipment
• Making embedded software systems with focus on functionality, safety, and security
• Implementing new features to our next generation satcom aero products
• Giving technical support to airline customers
• Tools: Git, Gerrit, Make, Jenkins, C/C++, Linux and general Open Source

Your Qualifications 

As a Embedded Software Engineer, your qualifications should ideally be:

• Master or BSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar education 
• Experience with C and C++ programming
• A structured and disciplined work method
• Knowledge of Git, Gerrit, Make and Jenkins
• It is an advantage to have experience with data communication and/or network protocols (LTE, 3GPP, Inmarsat satellite network and other satellite constellations)
• It is an advantage to have experience from the regulated industries (e.g. automotive, medical, telecom, aerospace)
• Experience with requirement driven designs and validation processes
