About ANCOTRANS
Our client, ANCOTRANS, operates in the transport and logistics industry with a focus on container road transport solutions. They also offer solutions in rail, intermodal and to a lesser extend tank and trailer. ANCOTRANS is one of Denmark’s oldest family-owned and family-managed companies. They have around 900 trucks and 2000 chassis in daily rotation throughout Europe with offices in several key cities throughout their core markets in Germany, Benelux, Sweden, and Denmark. They have more than 450 employees and around 600 subcontractors, all of whom keep the wheels turning handling more than 335.000 yearly transports.
Currently, Denmark and Sweden constitute 2/3 of the activities, and Benelux and Germany constitute 1/3. But as ANCOTRANS is already the market leader in Denmark the biggest potential lies outside of Denmark with Benelux being an important strategic area.
To further strengthen the operations of ANCOTRANS in the Benelux area and as part of their growth journey, Landau Headhunting is now searching for three new Planners for the office in Rotterdam (Schelluinen).
Are you one of the new Planners for ANCOTRANS in the Netherlands?
We are looking for candidates with experience in (container) planning, who want to be part of the ANCO family, working from ANCOTRANS’ Dutch site in Schelluinen. ANCOTRANS’
vision is to become the leading container carrier in Europe. They will only achieve this with the right employees – and you might be one of them.
Currently, the Rotterdam site run a total of 75 trucks; 40 owned by ANCOTRANS and 25-35 subcontractors, and the number of subcontractors is expected to rise over the coming years.
Reporting to the Planning Teamlead, you will become part of a team of 4 (soon to be 6) planners in the Commercial & Planning Department consisting of 12 employees.
Daily scheduling is like juggling
As a Planner, you will deal with a wide range of tasks related to the daily operations. You will have close contact with drivers and customers in connection with the large number of container shipments, which are performed daily. Every day is different, and no days are boring! As a Planner, you are part of a growing operational team with full responsibility for the transports to and from the major container terminals and depots in the Netherlands and Belgium. Things move fast, and as a Planner you will also work closely with the other ANCOTRANS offices in Germany, Denmark and Sweden.

Qualifications

- You have experience in container scheduling or similar.
- You keep your spirits high when things get hectic.

- You can communicate in a positive tone wherever you communicate.
- You are IT proficient (Microsoft products).
