The job

Cobham Aerospace Communications is recruiting a Application Software Engineer to join their aero software engineering team in Lyngby. you will be part of an agile team consisting of 30 colleagues in Lyngby, being Cobham Aerospace Communications’ Global Software Team.
Your main tasks will be software design, verifying software requirements, software implementation, software validation and verification for functional and non-functional requirements. 

Working as Application Software Engineer means:

  • Developing advanced satcom systems for Aircrafts
  • Implementing Interfaces to Aircraft equipment
  • Developing advanced technology and integration to many hardware and software components from RF signals to voice and data services
  • Making advanced embedded software systems with focus on functionality, safety, and security
  • Implementing new features to satcom aero products and developing the next generation
  • Giving technical support to airline customers
  • Tools: Git, Gerrit, Make, Jenkins, C/C++, Linux and general Open Source
     

Your Qualifications

As an Application Software Engineer, your qualifications should ideally be:

  • Master or BSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar education 
  • Experience with C and C++ programming
  • A structured and disciplined working method
  • Knowledge of Git, Gerrit, Make and Jenkins
  • Experience with data communication and network protocols
  • Experience with requirement driven design and validation process
