The job

Cobham Satcom is looking for a Quality Engineer. This role will be based in Lyngby, Denmark.

As a Quality Engineer your key responsibilities will be:                                                                                                          
  • Participation in various type of product development reviews and audits
  • Lead/Support all non-conforming part/product activities and support related QA engineering change activities
  • Conduct Root Cause Analyses, internal and external reporting to enable corrective and preventative action, with the aim of minimising product non-conformance
  • Record, monitor and regularly report on product non-conformance
  • Identify areas of improvement in Quality Management Systems & tools and implement appropriately in line with the objectives of the Product Assurance Manager
  • Develop various data sources to monitor product performance and ensure regular reporting of this data, identifying early trends in deviation and product defects 
  • Manage customer returns/issues and maintain regular dialogue with customer to ensure timely closure. Follows up to ensure satisfaction of all customer requirements
  • Handling of regulatory requirements e.g.:
  • Designated ATEX Authorized Person. Approver of all ATEX ECO and DCO’s
  • Handling of ATEX MRB’s
  • Working with 14001 projects

As a Quality Engineer your qualifications should ideally be: 

  • Min BS.E.E or BS.M.E with minimum of 2-5 years experience from a quality department.
  • Demonstrated experience with Quality Systems and regulatory standards
  • Auditing experience
  • Demonstrated application of Root Cause Problems Solving tools and techniques
  • Depth of experience in driving quality improvement
  • Experience with Six sigma, APQP etc.
  • Understanding of Reliability Engineering
  • Experience working with suppliers and EMS’s in Asia
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good verbal and writing proficiency in English and Danish 
  • Experience in ATEX , MED B and D regulations is considered as an advantage
