Famsun Oils & Fats is a reliable partner for oilseeds processing, providing oils & fats equipment and process engineering, silo storage systems, steel structures, conveyors and drying equipment. In the last three years, Famsun Oils & Fats has completed more than 18 projects both domestically and outside China.

For Famsun Oils & Fats, Landau Headhunting is searching for a Senior Oil Processing Manager with experience in process design for high capacity oil crushing factories and/or equipment for edible oil processing. Being the right candidate for the job, you are expected to know the crushing process in detail, and the solvent extraction in particular. 

You will be part of a global multi-cultural company with headquarters in Yangzhou, China, R&D centres in the US, Denmark and Germany, and sales offices around the world selling and servicing their factories. Your place of residence could be anywhere in the Asia Pacific area. You will work either from a Famsun office in Malaysia or from home.

Your key tasks

As a Senior Oil Processing Manager, you will produce process designs for high capacity oil crushing factories and/or equipment for edible oil processing. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be to:

• Design the full (or parts of the) process for the crushing factory, including design and calculation of the process of evaporation & crystallization (not limited to the oils & fats industry).
• Review the overall design of projects (capacity ≥ 3000TPD) and instruct project delivery.
• Optimize and innovate the crushing process: Focus on reducing utilities consumption (solvent consumption, power consumption, steam consumption, water consumption etc.), energy conservation and emission reduction.
• Assist the sales department in visiting and conducting technical exchanges with customers and making technological presentations to promote the company's brand at major conferences (seminars, exhibitions, etc.) in the oil industry.

Once the pandemic situation allows for this, you can expect some travelling activity to FAMSUN’s headquarter, to other Famsun facilities, and to customers around the world.

Your professional profile

Being the ideal candidate, you are expected to have:

• Min. 8 years of work experience in process design and delivery of crushing projects (high capacity) in the oil industry.
• Capability to develop a complete crushing project (capacity ≥ 3000TPD), including practical design and relevant theoretical calculation.
• Computer skills: AutoCAD, Plant 3D or other 3D software process (Equipment and piping).
• Strong sense of responsibility, good communication skills and team spirit.
• Bachelor/master´s degree in oil or food science & engineering, chemical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
• Language skills: English as a working language.
