About Femern Link Contractors


The Fehmarnbelt Connection is one of Europe's most comprehensive construction projects ever. It is run by an organization of close to 500 staff building the world’s longest immersed tunnel and the longest tunnel for both road and rail traffic. It will consist of a motorway and rail connection including an 18 km long tunnel that will allow travelling faster and safer between Scandinavia and continental Europe. It will take less than 3 hours to travel by train between Hamburg & Copenhagen (currently, 4½ hours). 

Appointed by the owner, Femern A/S, Femern Link Contractors (FLC), is the Joint Venture in charge of the Design & Construction of the immersed tunnel, including the tunnel portals and ramps. The Joint Venture is constituted by a series of international civil works companies - all with individual experience in major infrastructure projects. 
FLC’s joint venture partners are all committed to jointly cooperate to deliver a state-of-the-art immersed tunnel, portals & ramps that is timely and safely executed, in a sustainable and ethical manner.

For FLC, Landau Headhunting is now looking for a Quality Manager to support the QHSE organisation to ensure compliance with rules and regulations and a good process flow between the teams and towards key stakeholders. Apart from leading audits and managing your own team of 3 experienced engineers, you will play an important role in communicating and coordinating to maintain clarity and efficiency in all processes.
 

Your Main Responsibilities


In this role, your main responsibilities will be to:
  • Support the process owners in setting up their organisation, KPIs, management procedures and trainings
  • Establish, maintain and improve the Integrated Management System and related documents in relation with the QHSE Team and the PMT (Project Management Team)
  • Ensure overall surveillance of FLC processes and performance through audits: establish the audit programme in coordination with the QHSE Team, organise the audit. Ensure that the designated auditors are independent from the audited field. Ensure that the reports are issued and that all findings are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Monitor the process and review all Quality non-conformities (system and product) before they are closed in order to check that the necessary proofs are available, and that the non-conformity can be effectively closed
  • Accompany the FLC Team in defining and monitoring improvement actions when appropriate and participate to their communication by establishing good practices and Quality Alerts reports that are spread through the organisation
  • Accompany the FLC Team in the implementation of the Quality Management System in FLC activities and towards subcontractors and suppliers
  • Participates in the process reviews and management reviews
  • Collaborate with the Information System Managers to make sure that FLC Information Systems are fulfilling the FLC organisation and needs
  • Accompany the FLC Team in issuing the necessary handover of documentation as the project progresses
  • Plan the issuance of the project final evaluation reports (experience feedback reports) and establish the related time schedule so that they are produced as the project progresses.

Yours Skills & Experience


Being the ideal candidate, we presume that you possess the following skills and experience:
  • Experience in quality management in major companies and / or projects – construction knowledge is recommended but not required
  • Experience in leading audits
  • The position requires a combination of strong technical, analytical and innovative skills
  • Good interpersonal, organisation skills and ability to work independently are essential
  • Good communication skills and an aptitude for taking initiatives are essential, as is the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage the relationship with key stakeholders
  • Ability to manage a team of experienced engineers.
We are looking for someone, who has:
  • A bachelor’s degree and a Qualified Auditor Certification
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Quality Manager or similar
  • High standard of written and spoken English (Danish and German is a plus)
