About Femern Link Contractors


The Fehmarnbelt Connection is one of Europe's most comprehensive construction projects ever. It is run by an organization of close to 500 staff building the world’s longest immersed tunnel and the longest tunnel for both road and rail traffic. It will consist of a motorway and rail connection including an 18 km long tunnel that will allow travelling faster and safer between Scandinavia and continental Europe. It will take less than 3 hours to travel by train between Hamburg & Copenhagen (currently, 4½ hours).

FLC, Femern Link Contractors, is a joint venture of nine international construction companies with years of experience in large infrastructure projects. FLC is responsible for designing and constructing the immersed tunnel, tunnel portals, and ramps for the Femern project. The goal of the project is to deliver a state-of-the-art immersed tunnel, portals, and ramps on time, safely, and in a sustainable and ethical manner.

For FLC, Landau Headhunting is now looking for an experienced and insightful Senior Marine Planning Engineer. 
 

The Job


As a Senior Marine Planning Engineer you will provide the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Project Planning team with the expertise to deliver the project in the most effective manner and with solid scheduling updates and KPIs status. 

In this role, your main responsibilities will be to:
  • Prepare and update as appropriate the contractual Baseline Programme (P6 Primavera) complying with the approved General Management Plans for the Marine Part. This part of the program is resources loaded. 
  • Develop and implement Lean and Last Planner System meetings. Perform monthly progress update via the last Planner System (Aphex) into Primavera P6 and compile schedule variances analysis.
  • Support with any Change Management / Time Impact analysis.
  • S-Curves preparation on different KPIs.
  • Raise early warnings with respect to time mismatch between works packages and prepare mitigation proposals with respect to time.
     

Your Skills & Experience


Being the ideal candidate, you have a marine engineering and construction background with large infrastructure project experience. You have the ability to work with strict deadlines and most of all, you are passionate about the Marine Planning, Scheduling and Project Control field. 

Furthermore, we presume that you possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, or similar.
  • +8 years’ experience in Planning, Scheduling and Control in EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) of Heavy Marine Infrastructure projects.
  • Competency with CPM scheduling software Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM, TILOS, 4D Construction Planning is a MUST.
  • Good understanding and experience on implementation of Site Diaries and 4 Week Look Ahead processes and digital tools.
  • Good understanding of construction industry heavy equipment and subcontractor’s management. 
  • Experiences with marine environment, pontoons and dredging works, weather calendars and probabilistic approaches are a must.
  • Proficient in the MS Office 365 and willing to explore and develop skills in Power BI.
  • Solid verbal and written presentation skills in English.
