The position – Chemical Engineer

For Safinah Group, Landau Headhunting is now looking for CHEMICAL ENGINEER to assist the company’s solid and steady growing Marine market sector development.

Due to Safinah Groups significant growth, the Marine sector team requires a new college capable of fulfilling an expert role and to support the management of the Marine division within its chosen market segments in Marine.
 

Your Primary responsibilities

In this role, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Assist in general project management, incl. CRM system optimization

• Manage selected accounts 

• Carry out specific marine coating related tasks, incl. field inspections (on board vessels or in DD)

• Do coating failure investigation and root cause analysis

• Do pre-plan coating specification work (e.g., writing of work scope, specifications and procedures)

• Generate white papers and technical articles

• Write and improve internal procedures and do training of employees

• Assist in Marketing activities

Education & Experience

You must have a BSc or MSc degree in a relevant science subject e.g., Chemistry, Materials, Corrosion, or other engineering discipline and some experience from coating manufacturer or other Marine coatings field.

You are ideally a formulating or coating Chemist with subsequent field-based experience or a commercially related role such as sales, product management, marketing, business development or management.

High level of IT skills and competency in Microsoft Office applications.

Location

The successful candidate would ideally be based in Denmark, in the Copenhagen area, preferably close to our Gentofte office, however, other locations in Europe can be considered.
