For Famsun’s European R&D organisation, Landau Headhunting is looking for a Senior Climate Specialist, with experience from the agricultural area working with climate systems and especially climate controllers for pig and poultry farm systems.
You will be part of a global multi-cultural company with headquarters in Yangzhou, China and R&D centers in Kansas City in the US, Aarhus in Denmark and Oldenburg in Germany. Famsun has sales offices around the world selling and servicing their pig and poultry farm systems. You will be employed by Famsun’s R&D office in either Aarhus, Denmark or Oldenburg, Germany. But you can work most of the time from your home office or an office near your home. Therefore, your place of residence could be anywhere in Europe.
Your key tasks
Famsun has designed and developed Intelligent and Smart Feed Factories for some years, and they are a world leading company in this area. They have the ambition also to take the farming systems to the next level with Intelligent and Smart Farms. They will use IoT technology, data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence in order to achieve their goals. Farm controllers are the foundation of the system and therefore, you will play a key role in fulfilling Famsun’s ambitions.
As a Senior Climate Specialist, you will work with research and development of new climate controller designs. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be as below:
- Writing product specifications for climate controllers
- Supporting your colleagues in Famsun’s R&D centers to develop, test and deploy the products
- Specifying guidelines for how to design climate systems for pig and poultry farms
- Support your colleagues to design climate systems for the farms
- Technical training of sales and service staff
- Sales support and customer seminar presentations
- Depending on the pandemic situation, business travelling domestic and overseas including attending seminars or exhibitions, technical support, on-site trouble shooting, etc.
Your professional profile
Being the ideal candidate, you have 8 or more years of experience working in the agricultural industry with product specification and design. You have experience in designing ventilation and climate systems, including specifying functionality for climate controllers. Alternatively, you have deep technical understanding and experience as a key R&D software architect or project manager making climate controllers.
You are expected to have:
- Deep knowledge of ventilation and climate control systems for poultry and pig farms
- Knowledge about ventilation equipment in general
- Understanding of the variety of requirements for climate systems for different climate areas (hot, cold, etc.) of the world including systems for Asia
- Understanding the variety of customers and customer types and their individual requirements
- Experience writing product specifications
- Skills to communicate product requirements to development teams
- Experience with sales training, sales support and customer seminars
- Experience and a wish to work in an international R&D organization using agile methods and processes
- Bachelor or Master degree in either software engineering with practical experience in agriculture or a Bachelor or Master degree in Agriculture with product development experience.
