For Famsun’s European R&D organisation, Landau Headhunting is looking for a Senior Design Engineer with experience in producing mechanical equipment designs, for vertical dryers. 

You will be part of a global multi-cultural company with headquarters in Yangzhou, China and R&D centers in Kansas City in the US, Aarhus in Denmark and Oldenburg in Germany. Famsun has sales offices around the world selling and servicing their feed factories. Your place of residence could be anywhere in Europe. You will work either from Famsun’s R&D office in Denmark or Germany or from your home office / an office near your home. 

FAMSUN have been designing and developing Intelligent and Smart feed factories for some years and is a world leading company in this area. The Smart Farms of the future will require high performing energy efficient feeding equipment. Your key tasks

As a Senior Dry Feeding System Design Engineer or as an external consultant from a technical consulting company, you will work with research and development of dry feeding systems for poultry and lifestock farms. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be as below:

• Design and develop new products and related parts of dry feeding system (chain feeding system, auger feeding system, etc. and it is preferable if possessing R&D ability/experience in designing liquid feeding system)
• Make prompt technical transformation or adjustment to the defects of feeding products
• Troubleshooting the onsite technical problems related to the products
• Collect and understand the latest oversea technical developments and trends of feeding systems in the industry and share with the team
• Support the oversea market promotion of new products

 

Your professional profile

Being the ideal candidate, you are expected to have:

• At least 10 of experience working in animal farming business
• 5 or more years of experience designing and developing dry feeding systems for poultry and livestock farms
• Experience with CAD drawing software (e.g. solidworks, solidedge, AutoCAD) making 2D and 3D designs
• Skills to make product design and to run the development process
• Experience with material selection of core parts (chain, feed disc, augers and spirals, corner driven parts etc.)
• Good skills with Microsoft Office
• Good sense of responsibility and teamwork
• Good communication skills
