As a Material Project Manager, you will be a part of the Global Sourcing team. This role is based in Kgs. Lyngby. You will be responsible for securing and delivering materials for dedicated development projects including executing purchase orders and following up on deliveries covering electronics components, electromechanical parts, PCBA’s and mechanical parts. In addition, you will be ensuring material quality and best possible cost from project start through the NPI phase to production ramp-up and product release before handover to mass production.
You will be working in close collaboration with your colleagues in the Operations team, R&D as well as Sales and Business Development. Through weekly meetings in the project team, your role is to control direct spend as well as report and communicate on material status, product cost and potential risks. You do this through a style of engaging your surroundings in constructive dialogue about how to reach common goals.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be contributing through management of material excess and liability within the project, ensuring that materials arrive on time to support rapid prototype builds and ramp-up with no surprises.
You enjoy the split between negotiating with international suppliers & business partners (EMS), taking control of the buying process, and on the other hand practicing assertiveness, collaboration, and alignment with your stakeholders. As a person, you like to finish strongly on any task you take on, and you practice a style of systematic and structured problem solving. With colleagues, you communicate direction in a convincing and engaging style while at the same time making room for the rest of the team.
You will be working with next-generation satellite communication systems and as the right candidate you will get the possibility to highly influence the architecture and design of the new systems.
