This position is created to strengthen Huali’s global leadership in poultry climate solutions.

 

The postion

This is a top‑level expert role, aimed at attracting one of the strongest climate system specialists in the world within poultry farming. This is not a traditional people‑management position, but a global authority role, where influence is driven by expertise, credibility, and technical leadership rather than formal hierarchy. Huali will, however, support you in building your own Europe-based team. 

As Director Climate Solution Poultry, you will be the global authority for poultry climate solutions within Huali and Famsun Group. You will define technical direction, lead innovation, and ensure that Huali delivers best in class, biologically optimized, and future proof climate systems for poultry production worldwide.

You will operate across R&D, product development, market support, and strategic customer engagement, working closely with global teams and key customers.

You will join a global, multicultural organization headquartered in Yangzhou, China, with R&D centres located in Kansas City (USA), Aarhus (Denmark), and Düsseldorf (Germany). The Famsun Group operates sales and service offices worldwide.

Your employment will be with the Danish R&D centre, and you will have the flexibility to work remotely, from your home office or a nearby office location. As a result, your place of residence may be anywhere within Europe. You will report to Famsun's Director of R&D in Europe as well as to the Famsun Group President of R&D in China.

 

Your key responsibilities
 

Your key tasks and responsibilities in this role will be as below:

Global Climate System Leadership

• Act as the global technical authority for poultry climate systems across Huali projects and products
• Define long‑term technology roadmaps aligned with animal welfare, sustainability, and productivity goals
• Establish global design principles, performance benchmarks, and validation methodologies
• Define and track biological and production KPIs (e.g. livability, growth rate, uniformity, FCR impact) as primary success criteria for climate system design

Optimization of Existing Poultry Climate Systems

• Conduct deep technical reviews of existing poultry climate solutions
• Identify performance gaps related to bird welfare, energy efficiency, reliability, and robustness
• Lead design optimizations and system upgrades based on biological, environmental, and operational data
• Resolve complex field issues by root‑cause analysis and structured corrective actions

New Climate System & Solution Development

• Lead development of next‑generation poultry climate systems (broilers, layers, breeders)
• Drive system architecture from biological requirements through mechanical, electrical, and control design
• Guide supplier selection, critical component specifications, and industrialization standards
• Oversee prototype validation, pilot installations, and large‑scale customer implementations

Control, Automation & Data Integration

• Define control strategies, algorithms, and automation concepts for poultry climate systems
• Ensure seamless integration between sensors, controllers, ventilation, heating, cooling, and data platforms
• Promote data-driven optimization and digital monitoring concepts
• Ensure AI and advanced analytics readiness of climate systems, enabling future use of predictive models, anomaly detection, and decision-support tools for improved bird welfare and operational robustness

Expert Support to Business & Market

• Act as senior technical partner in key global sales projects
• Support strategic customers with system design, performance optimization, and troubleshooting
• Represent Huali and Famsun Group at international conferences, forums, and industry bodies
• Strengthen Huali’s position as technology leader in poultry climate solutions

Capability & Knowledge Development

• Mentor and develop internal climate system engineers globally
• Define training standards and best practices for poultry climate engineering
• Build external expert networks with universities, research institutes, and technology partners

Your professional profile

We are looking for an internationally recognized expert with deep, hands‑on experience in poultry climate systems.

You ideally bring:

• Extensive expertise in poultry house climate design, ventilation, heating, cooling, and air quality
• Strong understanding of poultry biology and its interaction with climate parameters
• Proven ability to translate biological requirements into scalable industrial solutions
• Experience with EU and international standards related to animal welfare, environment, and safety
• Understanding the interconnection of sensors, control systems, automation, and system integration
• Ability to lead complex R&D or system development projects
• Excellent communication skills across cultures and disciplines
• Fluent professional English

Willingness to travel globally is expected.
