Our client, LEMAN OY, is a leading global transport, logistics and freight forwarding company with offices in Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, UK, US and China employing approx. 850 employees. The LEMAN Group has launched a growth strategy with a wish to grow both organically and through acquisitions in the countries where the group is already present. LEMAN OY has appr. 35 employees and a turnover of 41M EUR.

People are LEMAN’s strongest asset, and LEMAN OY is currently looking to expand the team in Finland with a new Event Freight Forwarder. LEMAN OY is located in Vantaa (HQ), Turku and Kotka. This position is placed in Vantaa.

 

The Job

LEMAN’s Event team is focusing on specialized logistics for fairs, exhibitions, and culture events. We do logistics for companies participating in foreign and Finnish fairs and events. We also do special logistics for contemporary art and artists and culture logistics for theaters, circuses, ballets, opera houses etc.

As LEMAN’s new Event Freight Forwarder, you will be reporting directly to the CEO of Finland. You will be part of a team of two employees, and as LEMAN’s new Event Freight Forwarder, you must be able to work closely with the local CEO, new and existing clients and all your colleges in the office in Vantaa.

The new Event Logistics Forwarder is responsible to gain and generate new event business as well as to operate duties and tasks like scheduling and handling shipment for new and existing customers to deliver the targets.

The aim is that the new Event Logistics Forwarder will grow in this role to lead and manage the Event team and the team with operations in the future.
Work tasks of this position are:

• Active selling
• Develop and secure new business
• Providing Events services to clients independently
• Working with Operation area to ensure a smooth transaction for each customer invoicing
• Visiting prospective and existing clients
• Delivering results in line with business plan

Your Professional Skills & Experience

For this important role, you must have a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience working in the freight forwarding business, and a good business understanding acquired from positions in the Transport and Logistics Industry. Furthermore, we are looking for the following professional skills:

• Education on commercial and logistics area or similar experience
• 3-5 years working knowledge of freight forwarding industry
• Ability to work under pressure
• Finnish and English fluent, written and spoken
• Knowledge in Swedish and German is a plus
• Background of Customs clearance knowledge and processes
• Good knowledge of common IT tools
• Ambitious & driven personality who can commit to the company and career plan
• Positive “can do” attitude and passion for logistics
