Our client, LEMAN OY, is a leading global transport, logistics and freight forwarding company with offices in Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, UK, US and China employing approx. 850 employees. The LEMAN Group has launched a growth strategy with a wish to grow both organically and through acquisitions in the countries where the group is already present. LEMAN OY has appr. 35 employees and a turnover of 41M EUR.

People are LEMAN’s strongest asset, and LEMAN OY is currently looking to expand their management team in Finland with a new Finance Manager. LEMAN OY is located in Vantaa (HQ), Turku and Kotka. This position is placed in Vantaa.
 

The Job

As LEMAN’s new Finance Manager in Finland, you will be reporting directly to the CEO of Finland. You will have the responsibility for a team of two employees, and as LEMAN’s new Finance Manager, you must be able to work closely with the local CEO supported by the Nordic Finance Director and the controller-team located in Denmark. 

Through good management of the two employees in LEMAN Finance and your own participation in the day-to-day tasks, your job is to ensure that the finance department acts proactive and support the business. 
Our Finance Manager is responsible for timely and accurate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including dialog with the business and business partners. Other areas of responsibilities are month end closing, VAT reporting and to follow up on customer Duty and VAT outlays.
As our Finance Manager you also prepare material and ongoing dialog with auditors in Finland.

Work tasks of this position are:

• Accounts receivable and monthly meetings with CEO and Nordic Finance Director
• Support with budget preparation and follow up
• Monthly creation or review of balance sheet reconciliations
• VAT reporting
• Salary, collect information and dialog with external payroll company
• Financial / trial balance postings
• Prepare annual report for LEMAN OY
• Ad hoc administrative tasks
   

Your Professional Skills & Experience

For this important role, you must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience and a good business understanding acquired from positions in finance departments, from auditing or similar experiences. Furthermore, we are looking for the following professional skills:

• Experience as superuser in ERP systems (preferable Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012)
• Experience as superuser of Excel
• Structured and focused team-player
• Able to work independently but also in teams
• Able to dive deep into the details and ensure completeness
• Delivering high quality
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written (English and Finnish)
